No, I didn’t know we had one, either!
I came across a flyer posted on Urban Velo, of all places, advertising an evening of bike drag racing in my very own home city. Thanks to two progressive mayors, San Antonio’s downtown is undergoing a gradual revitalization that is slowly making it cool enough for hipsters and fixed gear bikes. I couldn’t resist a cultural opportunity, especially in my last week living in Texas, and headed down with the Mr. to enjoy the bikes and beer. Here is the evening, in photos:

All I have to say, “Oh My Gawd!!!” I’m from San Antonio; in fact, I was just there this past week (I now live in Boulder). I remember cycling around Olmos Park & Alamo Heights, checking into Charles E. James Bike shop downtown and being the only person cycling most of the time. It’s great to hear this type of news!!
